Next week we will be planting several melons and squash plants, so we've been searching for the best way to plant them since we have very little 'full sun' space for them. In our search we came across vertical gardening, this sound like the solution to our problem. There was several material that can be use as the trellis but our decision had to be based on two factors; it had to be relatively inexpensive and had to last at least 5 growing seasons, with these two criteria the right 'trellis' was quite a challenge to find. However, today I happen to come across this fella's video and he uses cattle panel for 'growing arches'. I'm familiar with cattle panel because I want to make a green house out of a couple of them. I'm really happy with this idea because I have to use the south side of our house, which is in the front yard, to grow my melons/squash. So when the plants begin to grow up the panels they will look like lovely arches on the side of my house. Happy will my neighbors be and happy will I be!
This is a keep place for the information and plans we have to become more dependent on Yahweh and his ways of living this life he gave us. We are becoming less dependent on this world's system while embracing Yah's ways. Join us in our new discoveries and challenges.
